Effective date: 9 October 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Prime News Times (“Prime News Times”, “we”, “us” or “our”), operated as part of 24World Media, collects, uses, stores and discloses information when you visit primenewstimes.com, read our journalism, contact the newsroom, subscribe to email updates, comment where comments are enabled, or interact with advertising and embedded services.
Our postal address is 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States. The contact route for privacy requests is the Contact page. Please choose “Privacy, legal or copyright” so the message is routed for review. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government identity documents or other sensitive records through the form.
1. Information you provide to us
- Contact messages. When you use the contact form, we save your name, email address, topic, subject, message, the page from which it was sent, the time of submission, your IP address and browser user-agent information in this website’s database. The form does not send an email by itself. Authorised administrators can view the message so the newsroom can assess and reply from an appropriate mailbox.
- Email subscriptions. If you subscribe, we collect your email address, the publication at which you subscribed, your confirmation and subscription status, relevant timestamps and unsubscribe activity. Subscriptions use double opt-in: a confirmation step is required before an address is treated as confirmed. Subscription records are kept in the publication’s system and synchronised to a central 24World Media subscription pool so sends, source attribution and unsubscribes can be managed across the network.
- Comments. If comments are enabled on an article and you submit one, we collect the information shown in the comment form, the comment itself, your IP address and browser user-agent string for moderation and spam protection. A comment may be checked by an automated anti-spam service.
- Advertising, business and contributor enquiries. If you contact us about advertising, partnerships, syndication, licensing or contributing, we may keep the information you provide, related correspondence and ordinary business records needed to evaluate and manage the relationship.
- Corrections and legal notices. If you send a correction, privacy request, copyright notice or other legal communication, we keep the submission and the records needed to assess it, respond and demonstrate how it was handled.
2. Information collected automatically
When you access the site, hosting, security, caching and content-delivery systems may process technical information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, date and time, response status, and security events. These logs are used to deliver pages, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, understand aggregate readership and protect accounts and infrastructure. We do not treat a device identifier or IP address as proof of a particular person’s identity.
Our security tools may set or read strictly necessary cookies and may challenge suspicious traffic. WordPress may use cookies to remember comment details, screen options for signed-in staff, authentication, and whether a test cookie can be set. Because public registration is closed, ordinary readers are not invited to create accounts on this site. Authorised staff information is processed separately under internal access controls.
3. Cookies, local storage and similar technology
Cookies fall into four practical groups: (a) strictly necessary cookies for security, load balancing, cache delivery, comment convenience and form protection; (b) preference cookies that remember a permitted choice; (c) measurement cookies or similar tools, if enabled, used to understand article reach and site performance in aggregate; and (d) advertising cookies, if a third-party advertising service is enabled, which may help deliver, cap, measure or personalise advertising. Necessary technology is used because the site cannot reliably function or be protected without it. Where consent is legally required for non-essential technology, the relevant tool should be configured to respect that requirement.
You can delete or block cookies through your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may affect forms, comment convenience, security checks or page delivery. Some third parties, including video and social platforms whose material is embedded in an article, may set their own cookies after you interact with or load their content. Their processing is governed by their own policies.
4. Embedded content and external services
Articles may include embedded videos, posts, maps, audio, data displays or other content from third parties, including official YouTube channels. Embedded content can behave as though you visited the other service directly. That service may collect data about you, use cookies or additional tracking, and monitor your interaction if you are signed in to it. We choose embedded material for editorial reasons and credit the originating channel or organisation where required, but we do not control third-party privacy practices.
5. How we use information
- to publish, secure, maintain and improve the website and its articles, pages, forms and subscription service;
- to respond to news tips, correction requests, advertising enquiries, privacy and copyright notices, legal communications and technical reports;
- to send confirmed subscribers news emails, service notices and unsubscribe confirmations, and to prevent mail from being sent after an unsubscribe;
- to moderate comments, detect spam and abuse, investigate security incidents and enforce our Terms and Conditions;
- to understand readership in aggregate, plan coverage and correct technical problems;
- to operate advertising and business relationships, label commercial material and measure campaign delivery where advertising is enabled;
- to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the rights, safety and property of readers, journalists, the network and others.
6. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information for money. Information is shared only as needed with service providers that host the website, deliver or cache pages, provide security and anti-spam functions, maintain backups, support subscriptions, supply publishing technology, administer advertising, or provide professional advice. Providers are expected to use information for the services supplied to us and to protect it appropriately. Subscription information may be processed within 24World Media systems so a reader’s source publication, confirmation and unsubscribe choices are honoured across related sends.
If advertising partners are enabled, they may receive technical information needed to request, deliver or measure an advertisement. Some privacy laws define certain advertising disclosures as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” even when no money is paid for the information itself. We do not knowingly sell personal information as that term is ordinarily understood. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, court order or lawful request; to establish or defend legal claims; to investigate suspected fraud, abuse or security threats; or in connection with a reorganisation, financing, sale or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
7. Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from news email by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting the site. You may ask us to access, correct, delete or export personal information we hold about you, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You may also ask whether your information has been disclosed and request an explanation of a decision where applicable law provides that right. We may need to verify your identity and the scope of a request before acting. Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or suppression of future email.
Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, and to opt out of some sharing or targeted advertising. We honour the rights that apply to your request.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate record-keeping. Contact and correction submissions are ordinarily retained for up to 24 months after the matter appears closed, unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing enquiry, legal obligation, security investigation or dispute. Subscription records are retained while an address is subscribed; after an unsubscribe or deletion request, a limited record may be retained so the choice is not reversed accidentally. Security and server logs are ordinarily retained for up to 12 months. Comment information remains with the published comment unless it is removed or retention is no longer justified. These periods are operating rules, not a promise that every record will be kept for the full period.
9. Security
We use administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including restricted administrator access, unique staff credentials, software updates, malware and firewall monitoring, encrypted transport where supported, backups and closed public registration. No website, database or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use the contact form only for information appropriate to send through a website form and contact the relevant emergency or professional service directly for urgent matters.
10. Children
Prime News Times is a general-audience news service and is not directed to children under 13, or under the applicable age of digital consent where a higher age applies. We do not knowingly seek subscriptions or accounts from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information through a form or subscription, contact us so the record can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
11. International processing
24World Media is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those where you live. Where a transfer mechanism is required, we seek to use an appropriate lawful basis and contractual protection. Reading the site from another country does not make the publication a local business establishment, but we will consider applicable local rights in good faith.
12. Third-party links
Our journalism links to source material, official records, advertisers and other websites. A link is not an endorsement of the operator’s privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any external site before submitting information there. This policy applies to this domain and the forms and subscription features we operate, not to every site in the 24World Media network; sister publications publish their own policies adapted to their services and audiences.
13. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy when services, providers, law or publishing practices change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes affecting subscriptions may also be described in a subscriber notice. Continued use of the site after a revision takes effect means the revised policy applies to subsequent processing, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be removed.
14. Contact for privacy matters
Use the Contact page and select “Privacy, legal or copyright”, or write to 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States. Please identify the publication, the address or record involved, and the action requested. Do not include passwords or highly sensitive documents. We may ask for information that lets us locate the record and confirm that the requester is entitled to make the request.
