The Lynn Tech Chapter of SkillsUSA, in collaboration with Lynn Tech’s Radio and Television Broadcasting program, will host a multi-media expo on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The objective is to promote media and its impact on the community. Several media personalities will be on hand to share their success stories.
“Our students lead this event, and it will bring professional talent to Lynn Tech to share what potential success looks like in the field,” Noube Rateau, a Lynn Tech Radio and Television Broadcasting teacher and Emmy-winning director said.
Rateau created the event and shared that in his role as a teacher, it is influential and important to expose students to experts in the field.
The day’s events will include booths of local groups and organizations to help students and participants find opportunities for jobs and information about the field. There will also be a panel discussion with leaders in the field that include Emmy nominated director Rudy Hypolite, director of photography and Lynn Tech SkillsUSA graduate Danny Donator, WBZ anchor Courtney Cole, and radio personality Ramiro Torres from HOT 96.9.
“This event is an opportunity for students to connect their career aspirations and make meaningful connections with professionals in the field,” SkillsUSA president Anthony Gonzalez said.
